On June 4, 2015 members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant on a Kitchener residence. Arrested within the residence were three adult males and one adult female, all local, for possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance. During the search incident to arrest, quantities of heroin, methamphetamine, marihuana, and Canadian currency were seized. Also seized were numerous pieces of stolen identification in the forms of Ontario driver’s licenses, credit cards, social insurance cards, and Canadian passports. Police also seized computers and equipment for manufacturing false identification. All three of the arrested parties were held in police custody pending the outcome of a show cause hearing. Investigation is continuing into the stolen identification and identity thefts. More charges are pending. Waterloo Regional Police are committed to working in partnership with the community to curtail illegal drugs and drug activity.
