71 Speeders And 4 Impaired Drivers

(BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) –The Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers participated fully in the Canada Road Safety Week Campaign which ran from May 12 to 18, 2015.

Canada Road Safety Week focuses on increasing compliance with safe driving through enforcement action. The goal is to save lives and reduce injuries by targeting the “Big 4” causal factors in injury, aggressive driving, impaired driving, distracted driving and failing to be properly restrained.

Canada Road Safety campaign results for the Bruce Peninsula:

4 impaired driving charges laid

0 warn range suspensions

3 fail to yield charges laid

1 careless driving charge

71 speeding charges were laid

1 racing charge was laid
