On Wednesday, June 10th 2015, a male was arrested in Guelph, Ontario after attempting to open a fraudulent Bank of Montreal account.
The accused was also in possession of identity information belonging to another party. Investigation revealed that the accused also opened accounts at the Bank of Nova Scotia using both identities.
A 69 year old Montreal male was held in custody. He was charged with fraud over, utter forged documents (two counts), identity fraud, possession of identity documents (three counts) and breach probation (two counts). He will appear in court on Monday June 15th, 2015.
