(ST.MARYS, ON) – On Tuesday morning June 23, 2015, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers assisted by an OPP West Region Highway Safety Division officer, conducted inspections on a number of commercial motor vehicles on Thomas St. in St.Marys.
Officers checked 10 commercial motor vehicles including a number of dump trucks. Five warnings were issued for minor violations and two companies received Highway Traffic Act tickets. No vehicles needed to be taken off the road and all could be driven away from the inspection location.
The Perth County OPP will continue to monitor commercial motor vehicle traffic in St.Marys and in the County for violations which could affect the safety of all road users.
