(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On June 22, 2015 at approximately 9:20 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call regarding a break and enter in progress to a residence located on the Sixth Line East, Centre Wellington Township (former Pilkington Township).
The owner returned home and observed two unfamiliar vehicles in her driveway and saw four people in her residence. She returned to her vehicle that was blocking in one of the other vehicles and called police. The suspects exited the residence and two males left in one vehicle that was observed by police a short time later. The vehicle crashed into a ditch and the occupants were taken into custody.
A male and female made several attempts to get the second vehicle freed, however, were unsuccessful. They were arrested and taken into custody. Officers recovered a quantity of jewelry and other household items that belonged to the homeowner. Police also located break and enter tools that belonged to one of the suspects.
Brandon HURREN age 21 of Wellington North Township has been charged with Break and Enter into a Dwelling contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on August 4, 2015 to answer to the charge.
Michael PETTIGREW age19 of Centre Wellington has been charged with Break and Enter into a Dwelling and Possession of Break and Enter Tools contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He was held for a Bail Hearing to answer to his charges.

Mischief Under $5000
Flight While Pursued
Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
All contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal court on August 4, 2015 to answer to his charges.
A 17 year old Fergus female was also charged and diverted.
