(PERTH COUNTY, ON) During a period of two days (June 24th & 25th) the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has responded to a number of serious personal injury motor vehicle collisions.
Officers are scratching their heads as to the cause of these collisions, since they all occurred between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., hours when traffic tends to be lighter and slower in comparison to early morning and late afternoon commuter traffic. Weather and road conditions were also ideal, at all these collision scenes.
“What are people thinking of, listening to, or being distracted by, when getting behind the wheel. These crashes were all avoidable, and can all be attributed to human error. With the Summer time and Long Weekend travel period upon us, I urge all motorists to adopt safe driving behaviours on our roads. Anyone observing unsafe driving activities is encouraged to call 9-1-1 immediately and report the incident”. Staff Sergeant Joel Skelding Perth County OPP.
