(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – A 36-year-old driver from London has been charged with Street Racing after he was stopped by police speeding along Base Line near Dutch Line last night. At approximately 6:45 p.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a Mazda 3 sports sedan travelling on Base Line at a high rate of speed. The officer used a RADAR device to confirm his visual observations of the speeding car and locked the speed of the Mazda at 134 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.
Tim AESCHLIMANN, 36 years of age from London has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle. His licence has been suspended for seven days and his car is now impounded for a week. He also has a court appearance scheduled for September 8, 2015 at Provincial Offences Act Court in Goderich.
