(CHATSWORTH, ON) – On Sunday, August 2, 2015, Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm warning for much of Southern Ontario warning the public of very strong wind gusts, hail and torrential rain.
Between 2:56 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2nd, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 10 weather related incidents, most of which were minor in nature and were specific to the Municipality of Grey Highlands and the Township of Southgate.
There were reports of downed trees, hydro wires and hydro poles which caused power outages in some areas within Grey County OPP jurisdiction.
