(MUNICIPALITY OF MEAFORD, ON) – On Saturday, September 26, 2015 at approximately 1:37 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), together with Grey County Emergency Services (EMS) and the Owen Sound Fire Department responded to a report of a male pinned by a tractor on Sideroad 22 in the Municipality of Meaford.
Police attended the scene located in an agricultural field on Sideroad 22 west of Irish Block Road and found that the 84 year old victim suffered fatal injuries as a result of being pinned between a bale of hay affixed to a tractor and a steel cattle feeder. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the attending Coroner.
The Ministry of Labour was notified of the incident.
