(TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) – On June 24, 2019, at approximately 4:00 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a farm accident on Sideroad 5, south of the town of Mount Forest. It was reported that a tractor had struck a child.
OPP, Wellington North Fire Service and Guelph Wellington Paramedics Service attended and found the child unresponsive. The four-year-old male was pronounced dead at scene.
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation. The identity of the deceased will not be released at this time.
