Under the Highway Traffic Act, reduced load restrictions are placed on trucks to protect Ontario’s highways during spring thaw, when road damage is most likely to occur. The Township would like to remind drivers that “Half Load” season starts annually on March 1 and continues until April 30 of each year; half load restrictions are in effect on all Township roads. For more information on half load season link to the Ministry of Transportation website or contact the municipal office.While Spring is very welcome after a long winter, it presents us with annual challenges that are an element of living in the country in the Springtime.
