The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 100 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Three people were arrested.
Man Arrested from CKPS Wanted List CK15017365
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man wanted on several outstanding warrants.
Yesterday afternoon, an officer attended a residence in Chatham and found the man hiding under a bush outside. The man was taken into custody for the offences of assault with a weapon x2, assault causing bodily harm, break and enter, breach of probation and six weapon related charges.
The 25-year-old man of no fixed address has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man Charged with Failing to Comply CK15017366
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man for breaching conditions of his Probation Order.
On October 16, 2014 the man entered into a Probation Order with conditions not to communicate with a specific Chatham woman or attend within 50 meters of her residence.
Yesterday afternoon, police responded to the woman’s residence in regards to a disturbance. Upon arrival, police observed the woman arguing with the man inside. The woman answered the door and through investigation the man was found hiding in a bedroom closet.
The 26-year-old Chatham man was taken into custody for failing to comply. He has been held pending a bail hearing.
Motor Vehicle Collision CK15017372
Yesterday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. police responded to a two vehicle collision on Mill Street East in Tilbury.
No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $4000.
A 66-year-old Stoney Point woman was charged with making an improper right turn.
Theft of Trees CK15017395
Sometime over the past four nights, unknown suspect(s) stole premium trees from Degoeys Nursery on St. Clair Street in Chatham. Value of the theft has been estimated at $2000.

Break and Enter in Ridgetown CK15017330
Sometime Friday night and Saturday night, unknown suspect(s) stole money from a cash box attached to a vegetable stand on Erie Street.
