On June 16th, 2015, Waterloo Regional Police arrested and charged a 40 year old Waterloo male with two counts of Sexual Assault. These charges are in relation to two separate incidents, one being on June 1st, 2015, and the other being on June 10th, 2015, in which females were touched inappropriately while riding on Grand River Transit buses. Police would like to thank the public for their involvement, and information provided to investigators. The investigation into the incidents is continuing. On Wednesday June 10th 2015 at approximately 5:30 p.m., a 16 year old female passenger riding on a Grand River Transit bus reported that she was inappropriately touched by an unknown male. The incident occurred on the iXpress bus which left Fairview Mall in the City of Kitchener, towards a destination of Conestoga Mall, in the City of Waterloo. The male is described as having tanned skin, around 30 years of age, wearing dark pants, possibly jeans or dress pants, a light beige trench coat style of jacket, wearing black aviator style sunglasses and he carried a backpack. The male was unshaven, and had a light shadow of hair stubble on his face. The male boarded the bus at Fairview Park Mall, and exited the bus at the corner of Queen Street, and Courtland Avenue, in the City of Kitchener. The female was uninjured.
