On June 20, 2014 at approximately 8:15 pm, a male was robbed on Hickory Street in the city of Waterloo. An imitation firearm was used and the victim had his mobile phone stolen. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. The robbery was interrupted by a Wilfrid Laurier University Special Constable who was on patrol in the area. After seeing the culprits flee the scene, the Special Constable relayed information to Waterloo Regional Police who conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle leaving the area. One adult male and two young persons all from Kitchener were arrested. Waterloo Regional Police North Division Detectives area continuing to investigate this incident.
