Seeking witnesses to Stabbing incident on July 1st on Rideau Street

(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service Central District Investigations is looking for the public’s assistance to identify witnesses and the suspect of the Canada Day stabbing that occurred in front of the parking lot of a business located at 211 Rideau Street.

The stabbing occurred around 9:40pm involving two male victims– one 19 years old and the other 25 years old. A third male, 18 years old, was badly beaten by the same suspect. Their injuries were not life-threatening.

The suspect has been described as a black male, in late teens early 20s, with a thin build. He was wearing a black long sleeve hoodie type shirt with white writing on the front and dark pants. He was last seen heading West on Rideau Street.
