Two Month Drug Investigation Results in Seizure of Marihuana and MDMA
On July 9th, 2015, after an ongoing investigation, officers from Owen Sound Police Drug Unit and Criminal Investigations Branch executed a drug search warrant at an eastside residence.
As a result of the search officers seized over a kilogram of marihuana, twenty-five (25) capsules containing MDMA powder and approximately 6.5 grams of loose MDMA powder.
Officers also seized electronic scales, drug packaging and cash proceeds.
The estimated value of drugs seized by police is over $10,000.
Eighteen (18) year old Matthew Hepburn is being charged with two counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.
Hepburn was held in custody and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Owen Sound, on July 10th, 2015 for a bail hearing.
