On Saturday July 11, 2015 at 4:20 pm a 27 year old male resident of Brampton was arrested and charged with Voyeurism, Indecent Act and Possession of a Controlled Substance at the University of Waterloo, Davis Centre Library. Police allege that the suspect surreptitiously recorded a 30 year old female who was using the study area of the facility using a hidden mini camcorder to record and a smart phone as a monitor. The accused allegedly exposed himself and committed an indecent act while the recording was taking place. Waterloo Regional Police and the University of Waterloo Police responded to the library area and arrested the accused as he was attempting to escape in a vehicle. The accused is not a student at the University. Major Case Branch Detectives are continuing the investigation.
