On July 8, 2015 at approximately 5:42 pm there was a single motor vehicle collision with a hydro pole on Wilmot Line at Wilby Rd, in the township of Wilmot. EMS responded and transported the driver to Grand River Hospital with possible spinal injuries. The truck and trailer was southbound on Wilmot Line and had just crossed over Wilby Rd when the driver from Waterloo lost control, left the roadway entering the west shoulder, and collided with a hydro pole. Wilmot Hydro was called to the scene. Wilmot Line was closed to traffic between Wilby Rd and Erbs Rd from 5:45 pm to 7:00 am while the hydro pole was being replaced. Police are looking to speak to anyone who may’ve observed the collision.
