Ernest Pharmacy Robbery

On Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 1:25 p.m., a 911 call was made in relation to a robbery at the Ernest Pharmacy, located at 1408 Ernest Avenue.

A lone male wearing a motorcycle helmet produced a handgun and demanded medication. Various narcotics were provided and the suspect fled the store. Members of the London Police Emergency Response Unit located the man in the parking lot of the pharmacy, attempting to flee on a bicycle. The suspect was arrested without incident. The medication was recovered and a replica handgun was seized.

No one sustained any injuries in relation to this incident.

As a result of the investigation, Scott Landry (39) of no fixed address, has been charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:

– two counts of armed robbery;

– wearing a disguise during the commission of an offence;

– carry a concealed weapon; and

– using an imitation firearm during the commission of an offence.
