A 23 year old male was arrested by Barrie Police and charged with Mischief in relation to a domestic dispute. The female victim called police to advise that her and her boyfriend had recently broken up and he was returning some property to her. While the exchange was going on the male became upset and smashed the females cell phone on the ground. The Barrie resident will be in bail on July 17th, 2015.

Barrie Police responded to a pair of commercial break and enters at a Dunlop Street plaza. Sometime overnight a restaurant was broken into and a safe was forced open. Once in the restaurant the culprit(s) knocked a hole through a common wall which lead to a neighbouring business. The suspect(s) were able to gain entry to this business but unable to access the safe. The police identification unit was called out to collect evidence at the scene.
The Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating further.
