Man Charged with Breach of Probation CK15024434

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man for failing to comply with his conditions.

Yesterday morning around 7:30 a.m. police responded to the Chatham Motel for a disturbance between two men known to each other. Through investigation, police learned that one of the men was living at the Motel, yet was currently bound by a Probation Order with a condition to reside on Vanier Drive in Chatham.

Jason Lamarsh, 26 years, of Grand Avenue East in Chatham was charged with failing to comply. He was released pending a future court date of August 28, 2015.

Youth Charged with Assault CK15024459

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a youth following a neighbour dispute in Chatham.

Around 11:30 a.m. yesterday morning, police responded to a disturbance on Grand Avenue East between the youth and his neighbour. After a verbal confrontation regarding on-going grass cutting issues, the youth assaulted the man. He did not require medical attention.

The 16-year-old youth was charged with assault. He was released pending a future court date of August 31, 2015.

Motor Vehicle Collision CK15024485

Around 5:00 p.m. yesterday, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Keil Drive near Riverview Drive in Chatham.

No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $10,000.

A 58-year-old Ridgetown woman was charged with making a left turn while failing to afford reasonable opportunity to avoid a collision.

Mischief in Wheatley CK15024452

The Chatham-Kent police are looking for information regarding a mischief.

Sometime late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, unknown suspect(s) keyed the passenger side of a vehicle parked on Hillside Street. Damage has been estimated at $4000.

First Time Rider – School Bus Orientation Program

Tomorrow morning between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. parents are encouraged to bring their kids entering JK, SK or Gr. 1 to Ursuline College on Grand Avenue West in Chatham for a School Bus Orientation Program. The kids will learn about bus safety, practice school bus evacuations, take a short ride on the bus and watch a school bus safety video.
