The Owen Sound Police are serving up a barbeque lunch and selling t-shirts in support of the fire victims and the Red Cross on Wednesday August 19th.
In recognizing the tremendous support that has been given to the victims of the recent fires, the Owen Sound Police have printed a limited run of t-shirts that proclaim #owensoundstrong. These t-shirts will be available for sale at the fundraising barbeque. A meal can be purchased for a minimum $5.00 donation or a free hamburger/hotdog will be given to those buying a t-shirt for $20.00. All proceeds will benefit the victims.
“The slogan #owensoundstrong is reflective of the strength shown by the residents of Owen Sound and our surrounding area to support each other in a time of adversity” stated Owen Sound Police Chief Bill Sornberger.
The barbeque will be held in front of the Owen Sound Police station, 922 2nd Avenue West, on Wednesday August 19th between 11am and 1pm.
