Man Charged with Indecent Act CK15024921
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man following an incident in Chatham last night.
Around 7:00 p.m. last night, the man attended a business on St. Clair Street and was observed with his pants down acting inappropriately. With children in the store, staff contacted police and provided a physical description of the man as he left the store. An officer on general patrol located the man near McNaughton Avenue. As the officer advised the man he was under arrest, he began resisting and pulling away. After a struggle, the man was taken into custody.
The 30-year-old Chatham man has been charged with committing an indecent act and resisting arrest. He was released pending a future court date of September 22, 2015.
Woman Arrested from CKPS Wanted List CK15024946
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman wanted on outstanding warrants for the offences of break and enter, possession under $5000 x2, theft under $5000 and failing to attend court.
Around 1:30 a.m. this morning, an officer on general patrol observed the woman riding her bicycle on King Street near Fifth Street in Chatham. The 34-year-old woman of no fixed address was taken into custody and held pending a bail hearing.
Suspicious Person CK15024789
The Chatham-Kent police are looking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspicious man.
On August 16 around 3:00 p.m. police responded to the area of the Black Bridge north of Stanley Avenue in Chatham in regards to a naked man. The man approached a woman walking along the tracks and asked her to come with him. The woman did not follow the man and ran to the nearest home to report the incident.
The woman last saw the man riding a red older style mountain bike southbound along the tracks towards Murray Street wearing a blue button down shirt and khaki shorts. He is described as a white man, approximately 40-50 years, thin build, and clean shaven with short wavy greyish/white hair with a balding ‘W’ pattern.

Motor Vehicle Collision CK15024880
Just before 1:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon, emergency crews responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Boundary Road near Mull Road in Harwich Township.
The driver was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for medical attention. Total damage was estimated at $15,000.
The 39-year-old Chatham woman was charged with careless driving.
