Break and Enter in Chatham
On Friday, August 28, 2015 at approximately 9:35am police were called to a business on Grand Ave. West in Chatham in relation to a break and enter that had occurred overnight. Unknown suspect(s) entered a storage trailer on site causing $3000 in damages. It is unknown if anything has been taken and the investigation is ongoing. Search Warrant Executed in Chatham
On Friday, August 28, 2015 at approximately 4:16pm in relation to ongoing fraud investigation, officers executed a search warrant at a Park Ave. West residence in Chatham. Documents supporting the investigation were located and seized along with a quantity of methamphetamine and evidence of a related offence. The investigation is ongoing.
Break and Enter in Raleigh Township
At some point in the last three weeks, unknown suspect(s) gained entry into a cottage located in North Buxton. The suspect(s) caused $500 damage to a rear door and removed approximately $1100 worth of property. Police are investigating and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s). Warrant Arrest in Wallaceburg
On Friday August 28, 2015 at 1:05pm, Police searched an apartment on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg for a material witness wanted in respect to a preliminary hearing. The party was not found but a partly mature marihuana plant was. As a result, a 24 year old male will be charged for production of a controlled substance. After departing the apartment, Police located the material walking on the Margaret Avenue bridge. A brief foot chase ensued. The wanted party was arrested on the north boardwalk of the Sydenham River and held for a bail hearing.
