Male suspect to be identified from assault in Confederation Park

(Ottawa)— Ottawa Police Service Central District Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance to identify a male suspect in relation to an assault in early August.

On Saturday, August 1, 2015 at approximately 2:33am, a female victim was walking along Mackenzie King Bridge and walked down the stairs to Confederation Park where she was hit on the head from behind. A struggle ensued and the victim was able to fend off the attack and call police.

The suspect is described as a Middle Eastern male, in his early 20’s, 5’10” (178cm), thin build, unshaven, dark eyes, wearing a black long sleeve t-shirt, red ball cap, and light colored jeans (see picture).
