On September 1, 2015 at 7:45 p.m. a break and enter occurred at the St Joseph’s Church on Madison Street South, Kitchener. A male entered through a rear door of the church during mass and fled with several electronics. The Priest presiding over the mass observed the male attempting to flee with stolen property and apprehended him a short distance from the church. As a result, a 40 year old Kitchener man faces charges of Break and Enter- Commit Theft, Possession of Stolen Property, and will be attending court on September 2, 2015. The Priest sustained no injuries as a result of the interaction.
