Members of the Barrie Police Criminal Investigation Services Unit commenced an investigation following several break and enters that had been occurring the first week of September, in the Letitia Heights area, City of Barrie.
On Tuesday, September 8, 2015, police arrested an 18- year-old Barrie male, responsible for the rash of break and enters, and recovered a quantity of stolen property. Police determined the break and enters were random and not targeted.
The male has been charged with break and enter and possession of stolen property. He will be appearing in bail court on Tuesday morning.
Police want to remind the public to ensure their doors and windows are locked if and when homes are left unattended.
