On September 13, 2015 at approximately 9:30am, a concerned citizen contacted Waterloo Regional Police to report a suspicious male observed lifting door handles of various unoccupied vehicles in the area of Heritage Drive and Confederation Drive in the City of Kitchener. Officers responded and located the male, who had fled on foot onto Queenston Drive. After a short foot pursuit, the male was arrested. A 26 year old male from Kitchener faces several charges. Police remind vehicle owners to lock your unattended vehicles at all times. Items such as loose change, purses, wallets,electronics or any items of value should be removed from your vehicle whenever you park it for any length of time.
