5 Arrested In Homicide Investigation – Suspect Description Released

At 5:08am on Sunday, September 6, 2015 the London Police Service responded to a report of a shooting at 1161 Hamilton Road, London. Police arrived there and found a 49 year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead. Five individuals were arrested in relation to the incident and the Major Crime Section is investigating.

The London Police Service Major Crime Section continues to investigate a homicide which occurred at 1161 Hamilton Road, London on September 6, 2015. Police responded to that location with emergency medical services at 5:08 am, following a report of a shooting.

One male victim was found suffering from gunshot wounds and was transported by ambulance to London Health Sciences Centre, where he was pronounced dead shortly before 6:00 am.

The deceased is Steven Patrick SINCLAIR, 49 years of age, of London.

Four individuals arrested at the time of the incident have been charged with offences relating to the possession of a controlled substance. A fifth individual arrested at that time has been released unconditionally.

Police are currently seeking to identify a suspect who fled on foot eastbound out of the parking lot at 1161 Hamilton Road following the incident.

He is described as:

– Black male, about 18 to 22 years of age

– Approximately 5 ft 8 inch to 5 ft 11 inch tall with a slim build

The involved firearm has not been recovered and the individual may be armed.

The Major Crime Section continues to investigate the death of Steven Patrick Sinclair on Sunday, September 6, 2015. An autopsy was performed at London Health Sciences Centre on Tuesday, September 8, and the cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound.

Anyone who attended 1161 Hamilton Road at any time in the early morning hours of Sunday, September 6, and who has not yet been interviewed by police, is asked to contact the London Police Service. Any amount of information may be significant in the context of this investigation and, as such, this appeal is meant to include persons who attended earlier but who were not necessarily present at the time of the shooting itself.
