Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK15028891

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman on an outstanding warrant.

On August 20, 2015 the woman was released from custody with several conditions. Two of those conditions stated that she had to obey a daily curfew of 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and reside at a specific address on Ridge Line.

On September 20, 2015 around 10:30 p.m. police received information that the woman had moved. Attempts were made to locate her, however when unsuccessful, a warrant was issued for her arrest for two counts of failing to comply.

Last night, officers located the woman in Blenheim and she was taken into custody. The 31-year-old Blenheim woman was issued a future court date of October 13, 2015. She was then transported and turned over to OPP who also had an outstanding warrant for her arrest.

Man Charged with Driving While Under Suspension CK15028858

Around 3:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon, a traffic officer observed a blue Ford van traveling eastbound on Richmond Street in Chatham. Through investigation, the officer learned that the registered owner was suspended for unpaid fines. The officer initiated a traffic stop and confirmed that the driver was the registered owner.

The 36-year-old Chatham man was charged with driving while under suspension. He is now required to attend Provincial Offences Court on October 28, 2015.

Mischief in Chatham CK15028820

Sometime between September 21 at 5:00 p.m. and September 22 at 7:00 a.m. unknown suspect(s) damaged the covering of a storage trailer at Goodwill Industries on Grand Avenue West. Damage was estimated at $1500.

Theft of Construction Materials CK15028839

Sometime late Monday night or early Tuesday morning, unknown suspect(s) stole 25 bundles of shingles from a construction site on Llydican Avenue in Chatham. Value of the theft is estimated at $625.

Motor Vehicle Collision CK15028825

Shortly after 9:00 a.m. yesterday morning, police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Talbot Trail between Erieau Road and Lagoon Road in Harwich Township.

No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $6000.

A 30-year-old woman from Cedar Springs was charged with careless driving.

Motor Vehicle Collision CK15028838

Around 11:30 a.m. yesterday morning, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Ebenezer Street near Erie Street South in Ridgetown.

No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $5000.

A 90-year-old Ridgetown man was charged with failing to yield the right of way.

Stolen Vehicle CK15028874

Sometime yesterday between 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. unknown suspect(s) entered a residence on Cairo Road in Zone Township. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a 47” LG TV and white 2011 Buick Lucerne car which had the keys left in the console. The vehicle was last seen with Ontario license plates BKXY 817. Total value of the theft is estimated at $26,000.
