On September 23, 2015 at 3:40 p.m., a school bus carrying 19 students from a nearby elementary school was travelling on Kathleen Street, approaching June Avenue. A Toyota, driven by a 46 year old Guelph man, was travelling on June Avenue approaching Kathleen Street. The bus, driven by a 60 year old Guelph man, and the Toyota collided in the intersection of Kathleen and June.
The driver of the Toyota was taken to hospital by ambulance and subsequently released with minor injuries. None of the passengers on the bus were injured. Damage is extensive, estimated at $12,000

SIU Investigation
On April 22nd, 2015 at approximately 11:00 p.m., the Guelph Police became involved in an investigation on Imperial Road N., Guelph involving an adult male.
During the course of the police investigation the male was arrested. While arresting the male a struggle ensued and as a result the male sustained an injury. The male was transported to the Guelph General Hospital by ambulance, and was later released. On the evening of April 23rd, 2015, the male re-attended the hospital and underwent treatment for his injuries.
On September 23rd, 2015 the Guelph Police became aware of the injury to the male party and as a result notified the S.I.U., and they have invoked their mandate to investigate this matter. The Guelph Police will continue to cooperate with the S.I.U. as their investigation progresses.
No further details will be released by this Service as the matter is now under the investigative mandate of the S.I.U.
Disturbance
On September 23, 2015 at 10:36 p.m. Guelph Police were called to an apartment in downtown Guelph, where there was a report of a disturbance. Police discovered a male had been assaulted and had minor injuries. As a result of the investigation, a 30 year old Guelph male was arrested and charged with two counts of robbery and six counts of breaching his probation order. He has been held for a bail hearing.
