On Sunday October 4, 2015 at 5:10 pm., Waterloo Regional Police and the Cambridge Fire Department attended 55 Woolley Street in the City of Cambridge in response to a fire in one of the apartment building units. Upon arrival the kitchen of a third floor unit was engulfed in flames. The building was evacuated. The fire was extinguished and a single resident was treated for minor burns and smoke inhalation along with the family pet. The unit sustained extensive fire damage to the kitchen area as well as smoke and water damage to the remainder of the residence and building hallway. Damage value is unknown. The fire is deemed accidental.
