On October 14, 2015 members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a Cambridge residence. The investigation began after police received information about significant drug activity occurring at the residence, which is located within close proximity of two elementary schools. Three adults were arrested during the execution of the warrant. Police seized quantities of crystal methamphetamine, heroin, and marihuana along with prohibited weapons and Canadian currency. The three arrested parties were remanded in police custody and face a numerous drug and criminal charges, including; Possession of a Controlled Substance, Breach of Recognizance, and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon.
