Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK15030471
In July 2015, the man was released from custody with several conditions. Two of those conditions stated that he was not to contact a specific Chatham woman or attend within 50 metres of her residence.
On October 8, 2015, the man attended the woman’s home and attempted to speak with her through an open kitchen window. The man fled before police arrived on scene. A warrant for two counts of failing to comply was issued.
Yesterday afternoon, police located the man on Gray Street and he was arrested on the outstanding warrant. The 31-year-old Chatham man was transported to the court house pending a bail hearing.
Man Charged with Failing to Comply CK15031563
On October 16, 2015 the man was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was not to communicate in any way with a Chatham woman.
Yesterday morning at 2:45 a.m. the woman received a text from the man asking if he could attend the residence to retrieve personal property. The woman did not allow him attend so he continued to text her. Throughout the day, the woman received approximately 110 texts from the man.
Around 3:00 p.m. police located the man on Grand Avenue West and he was arrested. The 32-year-old Chatham man has been charged with failing to comply. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Couple Faces Assault Charges CK15031577
Around 4:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon, police responded to a disturbance at a residence in Chatham.
A 27-year-old man and his 17-year-old girlfriend were both arrested and charged with assault. The man faces an additional charge of uttering threats. The teen was released with conditions pending a future court date. The man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Motor Vehicle Collision CK15031578
At approximately 4:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Indian Creek Road near Lacroix Street in Chatham.
No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $8000.
A 69-year-old Chatham man was charged with failing to yield the right of way.
