Chatham-Kent Daily News Release – October 22, 2015

Break-in to Storage Container

Chatham-Kent Police attended a commercial storage facility on Richmond St, Chatham, to investigate a break-in. Sometime between October 16 – 21, 2015, a suspect broke into a storage unit located within the facility. Information on what was taken is still being received and the investigation is ongoing.

Man Arrested on Numerous Warrants

In the afternoon of October 21, 2015, Chatham-Kent Police attended the Downtown Chatham Centre, after on-site security observed a wanted party on the premise, from the CKPS Most Wanted List.

23 year old man, Dylon MANTYKA, was arrested on outstanding warrants for 8 counts of Possession of Property Under 5000, 8 Counts of Fraud Under 5000, 8 counts of Uttering Forged Document, 2 counts of Breaching Probation, and Failing to Attend Court. He was lodged in cells, pending bail hearing.

Wanted for Robbery

In the evening of October 21, 2015, Chatham-Kent Police attended and apartment located on Park Ave E, Chatham, in relation to a robbery. Two males barged their way into the victim’s apartment and demanding money. One of the males is known to the victim, and he assaulted him twice before taking $300 cash from his wallet. The other male is unknown to the victim and still needs to be identified. Police attended the suspect’s address later in the evening, and he was not at his residence, also breaching his bail conditions.

A warrant is being sought for 33 year old Chatham man, Ryan DEVOS, for Robbery, Forcible Confinement, and Breach of Recognizance. A photograph of the suspect can be viewed at http://ckpolice.com/mostwanted.asp
