On November 1, 2015 at 4:00 pm., a 2 vehicle motor vehicle collision occurred at Listowel Road and Floradale Road in Woolwich Township. A motor vehicle travelling eastbound on Listowel Road, with two occupants attempted to turn left on to Floradale Road and was struck by a westbound vehicle with three occupants. As a result of this collision, a 75 year old Elmira resident died at the scene, and an 81 year old Elmira resident was airlifted to Hamilton General Hospital with major injuries. She succumbed to her injuries while at hospital. A 23 year old Brussels resident was transported to local hospital with minor injuries. Listowel Road was closed for several hours while police investigated this collision.
