On November 3, 2015 at approximately 9:00 p.m. a serious 3 car collision occurred on Kossuth Road at Shantz Station Road, in Woolwich Township. A Blue Jetta and a Blue Audi were travelling at a high rate of speed eastbound on Kossuth Road. The Blue Jetta was attempting to pass the Blue Audi when it collided head-on with a white Nissan Versa travelling westbound. A black Ford Focus heading westbound was then hit by the white Nissan Versa after the head-on collision. The Blue Audi eastbound on Kossuth Road did not remain at the scene of the collision.
Two of the occupants in the Blue Jetta died at the scene and a third was airlifted to Hamilton General Hospital with serious injuries, all 3 occupants were from Kitchener. The Cambridge driver of the white Nissan Versa was airlifted to St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto with serious injuries. The Cambridge driver of the black Ford Focus was transported to Guelph Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Speed is considered a factor in this collision. Police would like to speak to the occupants of the Blue Audi that was eastbound on Kossuth Road at the time of the collision.
