Regardless of who was involved in the terror attacks in France, the motivation was to fuel fear and suspicion of those fleeing Daesh. It does not matter if it was a France based anti-immigrant movement or Daesh. Warmongering Governments will try to convince the Public that the motivation was to force France out of Iraq and Syria. That is 100% bullshit. They tell the Public this, and if they fall for it they will support more war, more bombs, more death and more money for the Military Industrial Complex. War is too profitable and is fueled by greed, ignorance and hatred, which is in abundance.
These Refugees have seen too much death and destruction. Heavily pregnant women, infants, toddlers and children are among those fleeing extremists that would either rape or decapitate them. If you doubt these people are in real need of help, you are a fraction of a human.
The attackers knew exactly how France and the you would respond. More borders are closed and razor wire fences are going up all over Europe. This will unite Russia and the US regarding Syria. It is only a matter of time before a Government announces they are sending in tens of thousands of troops into Syria.
These terrorists wanted you to hate the same people they hate, and if it worked, you too are a victim of the attack as far as I am concerned.
WFP posted a pro-immigrant article admiring the French for not succumbing to instant hatred, and that Canada should make good on our word to help 25,000 Refugees. This instantly triggered a wave of anti-immigrant and anti-WFP comments on FaceBook for our “liberal” viewpoint. It was clear from the comments that virtually everyone was now anti-Refugee and wanted to close our borders. After several meetings WFP decided to allow a posting that is the polar-opposite of what the WFP Founders believe, to gauge Public opinion in a Hate vs Hope experiment. Since this was literally the opposite of our beliefs, PFW (WFP reversed) was used for the by-line.
Which would be more popular? The WFP’s regular “Hippie” view, or the PFW “Redneck” view.
Within hours the PFW “Redneck” viewpoint was the most read and shared article in WFP’s history. Comments on FaceBook strongly supported the view, with VERY few humans having the courage to confront some the most disgusting racist/homophobic/xenophobic comments I have read in the history of the internet.
