Woman Charged After Defacing Cenotaph

Location: FREDERICK ST and DUKE ST E, KITCHENER ON Canada

On November 16, 2015 at 3:10 p.m. a witness contacted Waterloo Regional Police Service reporting that a female was defacing the War Cenotaph at the corner of Frederick Street and Duke Stret East in the city of Kitchener. The witness told Waterloo Regional Police Service that the female was hanging dirty clothing on the flags and was writing with marker on the stone. Officers attended and located the female after she had fled the area. As a result, Lorie Lee NOBLE, 45, of Kitchener, has been charged with Mischief under $ 5000 and Theft under $5000. Damage to the flags and defacing the cenotaph by a writing instrument was caused. Waterloo Regional Police would like to remind the community to report any suspicious behaviour.
