Guelph Police Daily News Release – November 17, 2015

Break and enter

On November 16, 2015, the Guelph Police went to a Gordon Street multi business building to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered sometime overnight by damaging a door. Once inside, entry was gained to two businesses. A quantity of cash and five lap tops are reported stolen from the businesses.

Hit and run collision

On November 16, 2015 at 11:44 a.m., the Guelph Police received the report of a hit and run collision on Wellington Street just east of Gordon Street. A black Chevrolet Equinox struck an unknown white car from behind. The white car received heavy damage to the rear but fled the area. It is described as possibly being a Honda Civic or a Toyota Camry. The Chevrolet sustained severe front end damage.

Theft from cars

On November 16, 2015 the Guelph Police received seven reports from Guelph residents about thefts from their cars. The locations were Reid Court, Imperial Road North, Cardigan Street, Marlborough Road, Waterloo Avenue and two on Cole Road.

This crime is easily avoided by locking your cars, keeping valuables out of sight or removed from your vehicle and parked in a well-lit and visible area where possible.
