Occurrence Type: Armed Robbery – Anne Street

The Barrie Police Investigative Services is seeking witnesses to assist with identifying a suspect following a robbery at Mac’s Convenience, located at 353 Anne Street North, in the City of Barrie.

On Sunday, November 15, 2015 at approximately 11:20 p.m. officers attended Mac’s Convenience following a report of a robbery. A male suspect entered the store and purchased a coffee. As the employee placed the money into the till the suspect threw the coffee at the employee and pulled out a knife and demanded money.

The suspect stole a quantity of Canadian currency then fled the scene on foot. The store employee did not sustain any physical injuries.

Responding officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

Suspect:

Male, white

25-35 years

5’7-5’9 and medium build

Light coloured beard and unshaven

Clothing:

Wearing a black toque

Blue hoodie with a white UK emblem on the front. Logo identified as “University of Kentucky”

Grey track pants with dark stripes on the side

Armed with a silver handed knife

The investigation is ongoing and video will be released as it becomes available.
