School Volunteers Arrested In Gang Sexual Assault Of Child – Police Believe There Are More Victims

On Tuesday, November 24, 2015, members of the Child and Youth Advocacy Centre arrested a man and his fiancée for the Gang Sexual Assault of a 14-year-old girl.

It is alleged that:

– the man is a math tutor

– he was the 14-year-old girl’s teacher for a number of years

– his fiancée had volunteered at the same school

– the couple befriended the girl

– the girl attended the home of the couple, in the Lawrence Avenue East and The Donway East area, on numerous occasions

– in the summer of 2014, the girl was sexually assaulted at the home by the couple

Kevin Chan, 32, and Kayla Drumonde, 23, of Toronto, are each charged with:

1) Gang Sexual Assault

2) Sexual Interference

They were scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Wednesday, November 25, 2015, 10 a.m., room 501.

Police believe there may be other victims. Kevin Chan has been affiliated with numerous Toronto-area schools working as a private math tutor and volunteering.

225 Senlac Road, Toronto

Flemington Public School – March 2009 to June 2009

10 Flemington Rd, Toronto

Light in the Attic Learning, 2011

124 Eglinton Ave W, Toronto

Spirit of Math (two locations) – September 2011 to August 2014

230 The Donway West, Toronto

9291 Markham Rd, Markham

Mathnasium of Don Mills – November 2014 to November 2015

189 The Donway West, Toronto
