(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) – As a result of the continued investigation by the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) into the Sunday November 8, 2015, robbery that occurred at a Francis St. residence in Mitchell, an additional person has been charged.
After the initial incident, Perth County officers with the assistance of the OPP West Region Canine Unit were led to a Mitchell residence. Three adult males matching the description provided by the victim were subsequently located, arrested and charged. A search warrant was obtained for the residence and the property taken during the robbery was located.
As a result of further investigation and the execution of the search warrant, a youth from the Municipality of West Perth has also been arrested, diverted and placed under extra-judicial measures as authorized under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, for the offence of “possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000”.
