On the 7th of December, 2015 at 8:50 a.m., two Kitchener males broke into the Chill Bas and Grill located at 373 Bridge Street West, in Waterloo in an attempt to steal the ATM machine. Alert citizens observed this and called police. Officers arrived on the scene and observed the males in the act of breaking in. A foot chase ensued and one of the two males was arrested after breaking into the garage of a nearby residence to hide from police. The second male was not apprehended. 27 year old, Danny Josip CES was arrested at the scene of the break and enter in Waterloo and was released to appear in court in January 2016.
