On December 3rd 2015 at approximately 8:00 p.m., a vehicle was involved in 3 separate hit and run incidents. 3 vehicles sustained substantial damage eliciting police response. During the incidents, and subsequent evasion of police, the suspect used his vehicle to ram other motorists in a reckless manner. Police located the vehicle in the area and was observed to be operated in an erratic manner. Upon contact with police the lone male driver, he initially refused to exit his vehicle, however was successfully taken into custody. The suspects vehicle was found to have extensive damage due to multiple collisions. A 52 year old male, Nicolae MIHIT was held for a court appearance on Dec 4th 2015 and faces the following charges: Fail to remain at collision scene x3 Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle Assault with a weapon x2 Impaired operation of a motor vehicle Refuse breath sample Waterloo Regional Police Service would like to thank the many callers with information relating to these incidents.
