Guelph Police Weekend Report

Break and enter

On December 11, 2015 at 5:09 a.m., the Guelph Police went to an Edinburgh Road South business to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered sometime overnight and stole four lap top computers.

Break and enter

On December 13, 2015 at 12:09 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a Stephanie Drive residence to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered the garage sometime after 9:00 p.m. on December 12 and stole a mountain bike valued at over $5,000.

Drug arrest at RIDE

On December 13, 2015 at 2:13 a.m., a Guelph Police investigation into a car going through the RIDE program on Waterloo Avenue led to an arrest. The male driver had a large quantity of Marihuana in his possession as well as a small quantity of MDMA.

Jacob Hanley, 24 years of Guelph has been charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance. He will appear in court on January 26, 2016.

Theft from cars

Over the weekend the Guelph Police received five reports from Guelph residents about thefts from their cars. The locations were Grange Road, Rosewood Avenue, Westwood Road, Boult Avenue and Cheltonwood Avenue.

This crime is easily avoided by locking your cars, keeping valuables out of sight or removed from your vehicle and parked in a well-lit and visible area where possible.
