Chatham-Kent Daily News Release – December 13, 2015

The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 86 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Three people were arrested.

Robbery CK15036752

The Chatham-Kent Police are currently investigating a robbery that occurred around 3:00 AM this morning. Two men attended at the Pioneer gas bar located at 562 Richmond Street in Chatham and demanded cash and other items from the clerk. An undisclosed amount of money was taken along with other items. No injuries resulted from the robbery.

Rollover Collision CK15036743

Chatham-Kent Police investigated a single vehicle rollover collision last night on Fairview Line just before 2:00 AM. The driver, a 21-year-old female from London Ontario, lost control and left the road and then rolled her SUV.

She was uninjured from the collision and after investigation was charged with Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act and received a 3-day licence suspension for having too much alcohol to drive.

Break and Enter CK15036686

A break and enter was reported in Chatham having occurred over the last 5 days. A garage was entered and a bicycle made by GIANT, model Defy 3, and with a value of $1500 was stolen.

Driving Under Suspension CK15036704

At about 2:30 PM Saturday a 35-year-old male from Chatham was found to be driving with a suspended licence today in the downtown Chatham area.

He was charged with driving under suspension and given a summons to appear in court at a later date.

As the owner of the vehicle you are responsible to know who is driving and your car. Your car can be impounded for 7-days if a suspended driver is found to be driving it. You would then be responsible for the towing and storage costs.
