On Thursday December 17, 2015 at approximately 3:12 p.m., a collision occurred on Fairway Road North at Wabanaki Drive, in the city of Kitchener involving a Waterloo Regional Police Service Vehicle and a pedestrian. The pedestrian had been crossing Fairway Road North when he was struck by the Police Vehicle which was Northbound on Fairway Road North. The 31 year old Toronto man was taken to Grand River Hospital for precautionary measures. He was later released from Grand River Hospital with minor injuries and taken to Central Division for investigative purposes. The eastbound lane of Wabanaki Dr was closed for approximately 6 hours for the investigation. The investigation is continuing.
