On Friday the 18th of December 2015, at 5:20 am., Waterloo man driving a 2015 Toyota Tundra was followed at speeds of 160 km/hr in the 90 km/hr zone on Highway 8. In addition, the driver was aggressively weaving between lanes and tailgating anyone not moving over for them. The officer stopped the truck without incident and the driver was immediately arrested for stunt driving. The Waterloo man has been charged with Stunt driving, Careless driving and Speeding. Their truck was seized for 7 days and their driver’s license was suspended for the same amount of time. If convicted the driver could face a fine of $10,000 and a further driver license suspension. Waterloo Regional Police would like to encourage the public to report all dangerous drivers immediately to 911.
