Two Snowmobiles Stolen From Outside Wingham – Lock And Secure Your Property

(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are investigating the recent theft of two snowmobiles that were stolen from a property located on Josephine Street North just outside of Wingham.

On January 20, 2016 the owner of the sleds noticed someone had entered into his storage trailer that contained the snowmobiles. Both of his sleds had been parked in the unlocked shed with the keys in the ignition. Police believe the sleds were stolen at different times. One of the sleds was taken overnight on January 19, 2016 and the other one was taken sometime during the last two weeks.

One of the stolen sleds, a 2001 Skidoo MXZ 800 Renegade was recovered by Wingham Police Service on January 23, 2016 in the Town of Wingham on Minnie Street.

The other stolen sled, a dark blue and white 2006 Skidoo GTX is still outstanding. The sled has a 2-up seating configuration and a high windshield.
